Our History
Gideon Stanley designed a reservation system as part of his thesis at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. The project was inspired by Gideon’s experience working as a college student at the new Cottage House Inn that just opened. He further perfected the system while pursuing his Masters in Software Engineering at the University of St. Thomas. In a span of a few years, Gideon rose quickly to a top leadership position at BMC Software, Inc.
Combining his knowledge of the hospitality field with his experience in enterprise technology, Gideon launched Grace Software, Inc. in 1999; and established the core vision of enabling businesses with an easy to use, reliable system.
Many of Easy InnKeeping’s initial users were B&Bs in the Galveston, Texas and Lanesboro, Minnesota tourist areas. Even as the customer base expanded to the full range of lodging properties, such as hotels, motels, inns, condos and vacation properties; priority is always given to designing user friendly screens and features!
